As many of you already know, Stacy -- that incomparable, amazing, inspiring figurehead of Simple Scrapbooks Magazine -- has recently announced that she's going to be cutting back on her role with the magazine.
The reason is simple -- too many ideas and dreams, not enough hours or energy. We at Simple are brokenhearted to lose some of our time with her, but at the same time we are thrilled and excited to see what wonderful project she dreams up next.
In order to "Send Stacy off in Style," this week has been named Stacy Appreciation Week. Here's how you can participate:
-Leave a comment on her blog.
-Call 1-888-HUG-STACY and leave a voice message.
-Create a layout celebrating Stacy and post it to the Simple gallery.
-Reflect on what Stacy has meant to you and do a good deed in her honor.
As far as what Stacy means to me, I don't even know where to start. She is the reason I am involved with Simple at all -- I sent her an email from my heart about my desire to write for Simple, she answered right away, and the rest was history. She continues to be a beacon for me of how to follow your dreams, how to treat other people, and how to live a colorful, meaningful life.
But this post is not meant to be about me. It is about how one woman -- an ordinary woman, she would say, though we would all disagree! -- can light a fire fueled with passion, inspire others to surpass the ordinary, and sprinkle a little bit of excitement and glitter wherever she goes. In other words, how one woman can change the world.
One scrapbook page at a time.
