Changes Coming!

I know, I know -- I haven't been around much lately on this blog! Let's blame it on a cross-country move coming up next week, living in a hotel, working on Layout a Day for May, starting a new business (more on that soon!), being without my computer for two weeks (my laptop died) and more! Whew, I'm tired just typing it, let alone living it!

My Layout a Day (LOAD) participants have been getting a daily dose of Lain through their special daily e-newsletter. And I've enjoyed writing and sending it -- and apparently they've been enjoying getting it (or at least they've been kind enough to lie to me!). So much so, in fact, that I've decided to carry that theme over to my blog.

So... beginning June 1, I'm going to offer all my blog readers what my LOADsters have come to know and love... a little bit about what's happening in my life and how it relates to scrapbooking/creativity, a link to any interesting and related resources on the web, and maybe a fun quote or two. Oh, and a daily assignment or scrapbooking prompt!

Hopefully this will help you keep up on what's happening Chez Lain, as well as get a little bit of inspiration to get you creating. I plan to kick off a new selection of podcasts as soon as I figure out how to use my new podcast program (no more Mac -- I tried it, it died. 'Nuff said).

Cleaning House -- Literally!

Oh my goodness. The moving vans are arriving on Thursday, and the packers will be here Wednesday! ACK! THAT (and the fact that we are deep in the May Layout-A-Day challenge) is why you haven't seen much of me today. Lots of loose ends to tie up!

In the middle of cleaning out my craft closet (I will have a craft loft in the new house!), I came across a plethora of items I did not want to throw out, yet knew I would never use... so I am offering them to you in one ginormous hugemongous lot. I am not going to list everything here... but suffice it to say there is a LOT of good stuff. No junk, I promise!

I would love to say that the funds are going to a good non-profit cause... but in this case, they are going right to my new laptop. ($1700, boohooboohooboohoo).

Well, then, you should have signed up for the May LOAD! ;) I've been scrapping my little heart out, creating 11 layouts so far this month... and we have over 1000 in the gallery! Go, us!!

I'm also packing to move to Boston in a few short weeks. And my laptop died. So that means little (if any) computer time! The gremlins thought they'd throw one more monkey wrench at me before I left for New England. That means no podcasts until I get a new system, and it also means that my half-finished Snippets Too is gone. :( Boo hoo, boo hoo, boo hoo. If I had more energy I'd have a nervous breakdown).
