I love other bloggers' collections of links to fun and interesting spots on the web, so I thought I'd do an occasional collection myself of items that aren't big enough to warrant their own blog post, but are significant enough to merit a mention. And because I must embellish everything (including my blog posts), I came up with the cute moniker, "Whoop-dee-doo Wednesday." 'Cuz if you can't have a whoop-dee-doo on your own blog, well, then, what's the point?
1. Many of you expressed interest in these awesome boots
worn by the incomparable Anna Aspnes in our Simple CKC video... Anna was kind enough to provide me this link. Warning: The shoes you will see are addictive AND expensive -- a bad combo!
2. I finished a sewing project!
I got the idea for this cute headband from this cute girl. It's a pattern from Heather Bailey, whom I had never heard of before CHA but now know is one of the goddesses of textile design.
3. Speaking of CHA, I find it quite ironic that the theme for their summer show is "Kids Crafting." Perhaps they could demonstrate their dedication to kids by actually treating them like humans, not nuisances who must be removed from the premises like Mrs. Weasley's garden gnomes?
4. National Scrapbook Day is coming. How are you going to celebrate? A number of Simple contributors and editors are teaching around the country... check out the Studio Blog for updates on appearances.
So I just checked out the link for Elizabeth's blog and that cute headband. (which by the way, I have no reason to look at since I look ridiculous in headbands!). Can I just say, there are some people on this planet who are STUNNINGLY beautiful and SHE is absolutely one of them. I hope I don't come off sounding creepy, but it became hypnotizing. She is just so cute and so creative and so talented.
Can I be her?

My hubby is from England and his best friends are coming to visit this summer. Hmmm. Wonder if I can get them to bring me a pair—or four. :)
LOL @ CHA's theme and their treatment of kids. I still can't believe how rude they were to you. I wonder if it was CHA or the venue. Are you coming this year? LMK and I'll meet ya for a Starbucks break. ;)

Whoop-dee-do Wednesday=fun! That's why we love you! I'm using my Whoop to clean off my scrapdesk so I can finally get to my 30-minute Thursday. I think I can, I think I can...LOL.
Our LSS couldn't find a venue for a big NSD crop this year so the lady who runs it is making up NSD bags with challenges and products and we're all to post our completed pages to the Facebook page. Should be fun! I may find a few other online celebrations to join in.

For NSD my local scrapbook store has asked me to teach 4 mini technique classes over a 14 hour period. I have to give her an answer by the end of the week, so I need to get my brain to cracking!!

I actually squealed and scared my cat when I saw that shoe on your blog! I can tell that link is gonna be BIG trouble for me.
I think I have that same headband pattern - did you print it from a webpage? I was thinking of making one for Taite to match her dress. Was it easy?

I love that headband! And I'm going to do myself and my wallet a favor and not even click on the shoe link...
(and it makes me happy to see that I'm not the only person making Harry Potter references in everyday conversation. Whew!)

Were people mean to the garden gnomes? I have memory retention issues... ;) Well, next time, we shall band together, and create a big stink at CHA.
Love the headband! You are so crafty!
