I do not like to do things unless I can do them "right." And when it comes to blogging, that means I have a cute photo, a project, a theme... and today I have none of these! Yet I am afraid that if I put off blogging until I do have them, you may be waiting a very, very long time... so here goes...
The Trip. SLC was AMAZING. I didn't get a chance to podcast with any of the ladies (they run too fast!) but I will give a big recap when I do my podcast tonight. Highlights -- hitting five scrapbook stores in two days, getting my headshots taken, a fabulous Italian dinner, an equally fabulous "executive" lunch, meeting Ruby (Angie's BIG dog), spending the afternoon driving around Salt Lake with Wendy as my chauffeur, and getting a personal tour of Scenic Route with Angie. I got stranded overnight because of weather in Las Vegas (??? Who knew Las Vegas HAD weather???) but it was all good. I got a chance to get my profile up and books entered on GoodReads.
The weekend. Needless to say, my kids were anxious to see me. I will enjoy that as long as it continues to happen. When I am away from them and come back, even after just a few days, I realize how BIG they are, and what separate little people they are. I also returned to the news that we have two MAJOR book reports due this week, as well as the spelling bee. We spend last night creating a board game out of Pilgrim's Progress.
The week. I know, I know, I didn't have a project for you. Bad Dobby. I have something in mind but haven't had a chance to get to it, amidst the shopping and spelling and game-creating. Forgive me? As soon as the spelling bee is over (this afternoon!) and the book reports are finished (tonight!) I will celebrate with dinner at Benihana followed by a few hours in my craft closet. Hang tight until then.
Love!
Hey there!, so good to see you back...glad you had an awesome time in Utah. I'm sure the podcast will be a blast! :)

I want to hear all about your ride with Wendy! You should have hooked up the microphone! Although I'm sure you'll have lots of chances for that! So glad you had a great time!

Just for fun, you should to things NOT right. See if you like it better than doing things right. Be like George on Seinfeld when he became Opposite George. Magic could happen, my friend!

Oh man, I would have loved to be a little mouse in your pocket when you got a chance to tour Scenic Route! They are one of my all time favorites!! Lucky girl!
Don't worry too much about not having a new project up right now. Life gets in the way sometimes and we all understand that ;-)) Cut yourself a break once in a while girlfriend! Have a great dinner with your family.

Glad to hear you had such a great time, and more than a little encouraged that I'm not the only one who feels more than a little unraveled at times! LOL

Glad you had a good trip. Don't stress about not having a project. You have enough to deal with. It's a crazy time of year, so cut yourself some slack and know that we all understand!
