I don't actually eat turkey on Thanksgiving, so the title is something of a misnomer. But a little poetic license is okay, right?
The funny thing about blogging is, the more exciting my everyday life is, the less time I have to write about it here. Conversely, the more mundane and boring, the MORE time I have to write (but probably the less interesting the posts are).
So based on my absence, you would be correct in assuming I've been living the high life! Family, cooking, shopping, food, you name it... but a huge highlight was spending Saturday in San Francisco with Linda Woods, her husband Dustin, and my good friend Maria. For those of you who don't know, Linda is an amazingly talented artist and the author of Journal Revolution and one of the funniest people I've met. Just naturally fun in the way she looks at life. LOVE THAT.
And Dustin? Well, what can I say other than HE WORKS ON CSI!!!!! I could say a lot more -- he was wearing George Eads' pants, he is an awesome photographer, he's a great sport, and an all-around nice guy... and he put up with all my thousands of questions about life on the set of CSI. I probably scared him. Oh well, I have a tendency to do that.
Maria is a fabulously talented photographer so we traipsed around San Fran taking pictures (until we got thrown out of one store for doing so). We got lost. We got found. We ate chips and salsa. We laughed and laughed and laughed. A good time was had by all.
Hey Lain! Glad you are back. Looking good g/f!

Your friend Dustin was wearing George Eads' pants?? So somewhere out there Mr. Eads is without pants?!? Mmmm. Thanks for the thought ;)

How fun! And I totally know what you mean about the interesting life vs. time to blog dilemma.

Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday and a great time in the city!

2 degrees from the CSI actors? Wow, you are just too cool! :) Hey, that makes me only 3 degrees. Woohoo. Cool by association. (it's the only way that's happening these days. LOL)
Love the new photo. Looking good girl. Glad your turkey day and weekend was good. It was quiet out in the blogosphere; I missed your updates.

Hi there my friend....I'm SOOOOO GRATEFUL for the chance of driving together and spending such an AMAZING day together with you, Linda and her hubby. It was quite literally one of the best days EVER! And you've made my day using that snapshot of you on your blog! I have quite a few more to send you soon! As soon as I'm done downloading them all! :)

Oh yeah, and I can't wait to send you "the" picture...you know, about George's pants! :)

I'm so jealous! I'd love to get lost and found in San Francisco. Wait...I actually did that once. But I'd love to do that again! Hey, maybe when you come to Houston we can get lost and found here...though somehow I don't think that would be as much fun. :)
BTW, I love your new profile pic!

I loved hanging out with you and am counting the days until next time. Dustin LOVES you! He was not scared at all. He will take you and Maria to the CSI set and introduce you to GEORGE, in George's own pants!
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!
:)

I was going to comment about what an awesome time you obviously had, and how you can measure success by getting lost and found and kicked out of a store for having too much fun and all sorts of stuff like that....but I have to follow Linda's comment inviting you to the SET of CSI.
There really isn't much I could say after that, is there? Except...you WILL take pictures to share with us, won't you Lain?
