It's official.
I'm 38.
Yeehaw! Yesterday was the big day... and it was all planned out. Brunch with a girlfriend, maybe a little shopping, and then dinner at my favorite restaurant -- La Fondue.
Here's what happened:
I spent seven hours in Hollister (otherwise known as "the sticks") at Ben's basketball tournament. We had Taco Bell for lunch. By the time I got home, I was so tired of being out that we had leftover pizza for dinner, then played Sorry and watched "Bend It Like Beckham" and ate too much popcorn.
And you know what? It was one of my best birthdays ever. I was right where I wanted to be the whole day. And that is what makes a day special.
Oh, by the way... Ben's team won the tournament. Now THAT was super-cool.
Hi! I found your blog through Big Picture Scrapbooking and through your friend Maria! I just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday! I celebrated my 38th a couple of weeks ago! You look fabulous!

Hi there...happy birthday again! I wish I had seen your message early enough...knowing you were so close from Gilroy I would have run over there to see the game and bring you lunch, LOL. Sometimes those unexpected days spent with family are just the best! And SOOOO happy to read that Ben's team won! They deserved it! What an awesome way to celebrate! I'm doing the happy dance with him right about now...tee hee.
