Some people think that blog awards are silly. Some people obviously never got picked last for kickball, have never had a bad hair day, and never get that nervous-stomach feeling when they're in a large group of people they fear are not only thinner than they are, but also wealthier and better-dressed. So it is with grand thanks and humility that I accept my Kreativ Blogger award (which I am assuming is spelled that way bbecause it originated somewhere in Germany perhaps, and not because someone doesn't know how to spell).
Anyway.
1 - Thank the person who nominated you...A huge hug of thanks to Katrina! Not only is she one of the most talented scrapbookers I know, she also is a great mother, a funny person, makes me smile, and has fabulous hair of which I am extremely envious.
2 - Copy the logo & post it...
3 - List 7 things that people might find interesting about you...
*I have a secret desire to learn to play the accordion. Seriously.
*Hugh Jackman, Hugh Grant, or Hugh Laurie. Any of them would be quite fine with me.
*I read. A LOT. We'll just leave it at that.
*The lease on my darling red VW Beetle convertible is up in three months. I am immensely saddened by this.
*My favorite man-made monstrosity landmark is the Eiffel Tower. I've been up it twice. I would live at the top if they'd let me.
*I love the smell of coffee but can't stand to drink it.
*After a decade and a half as a journalist, I have a highly refined BS detector, and I am not shy about telling people they are full of it.
4- Nominate 7 creative bloggers:
-Jennifer (At the Blue Barn, a new friend I feel like I've known forever)
-Celeste (who blogs almost daily - can you stand it??)
-Paula (who I get to hang with in person - aren't you jealous??)
-Wendy (who I want to be when I grow up)
-Stephenie (who inspires me every day. She's just like that)
-Noell (who I am proud to call a friend)
-Lee (who may very well be my clone. Or I, hers)
There you have it. Not five. Not really a list (though sort of).
I think you'll forgive me. :)
Accordion, eh? NEVER would I have guessed that! Thrilled to have anything in common with you, Lain, let alone be considered your clone. Thanks for the honour :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Congratulations on your nomination! I wonder if Hallmark has a card for that? Guess I could just make one myself. ;)

congrats on the lovely award. I, too, love the smell of coffee but cannot drink it lest I die. I may be exaggerating on the dying part, but that's just how I roll.

*applause applause* Congratulations! Wish I had your Bull-O-Meter; I tend to be gullible. And Hugh? Yes, please. Good taste, LOL!

I love all those tousle-haired gents. Dee-licious. I'll have to think hard about my favorite man made monstrosity. Maybe french fries?

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much!

There is no better smell than the freshly opened bag of Dunkin' Donuts coffee! Mmmmmm! And it tastes just as good.
Congrats on your award and it is well deserved.

I love coffee, period. It's the only vice I have left, and I intend to keep it. Thanks for the blog recommendations, have added several of them to read for a bit!

I hear you on the coffee! It smells so good to walk into a coffee shop...but the flavor is not my cup of tea. Probably because TEA is! I love flavored teas, hot or cold. Teavana is really hazardous to my debit card!
