Unless your entire universe of friends and family have gone digi, you've got some holiday cards lying around, right? After you've read them (and alternately rolled eyes/giggled/drooled with envy over the enclosed Christmas letter), what's a crafty person to do with all that seasonal goodness? Read on for some ideas...

1. Festive Garland. All you need is some seasonal ribbon and a bunch of clothes pins. String the ribbon over a fireplace or drape it along a banister. Then attach cards with the clothespins. Cute and easy! (And, now that I think about it, it looks much like my blog header at the top of this page!)
2. Wreath. I have used this in years past. I pick up an inexpensive fake wreath from a craft store, add a big ribbon, and use mini-clothespins to attach the cards. I've been looking online for an image, but I can't find one! (But I bet you can use your imagination. You know how to use your imagination, don't you, boys and girls?)
3. Frame 'em. I love this big frame! I think you could easily adapt this to Christmas cards. I'll see if I can find a link where you can purchase something like this. Here's one from Ikea that's not exactly like it, but would still be cute. And I like this one, too.

4. Bulletin Board. The image above obviously isn't holiday-themed, but how easy would it be to cover a huge bulletin board with wrapping paper, decorate it, and add your cards as you get them?
Image from here5. Stick 'em in a basket. I know, it's not creative. But it's easy! ;) Line a pretty basket with a holiday dishtowel, add a ribbon, and it's cute as can be! Put the basket on an end table or in the center of your dining table, and pass around new cards at dinner each night. How fun to read the letters as a family and talk about the people you love?
6. Bonus! As I was looking for the frame above, I came across this little doo-hickey that is just way too cool not to add here. I don't think I'd use it for photos, but for cards -- perfection!
Your turn: What do you do with your Christmas cards?
We hang the cards/photos on columns between our family room and kitchen. I have ribbon down the middle of the column then attach the cards to the ribbon. It's an added decoration at no cost.

Basket on the table for the cards, pictures go on the refridge until after the holidays then I slip the pictures in a photos album.

I've tried a couple of ways over the years, from stapling them to a ribbon hanging on doors to putting them in a huge stocking with rows of pockets. Now, for the past few years, I hang them on a rope with festive looking clothepins near the front entry.

I staple mine to lengths of coloured crepe paper and hang from our bookshelves. I love to do this simply because my mum and grandma also displayed them this way. Glad I found your new home!

We have a big empty wall above our couch that is waiting for me to find the perfect piece of art or take the perfect photo and buy a huge canvas. In the meantime, I long ago put a couple of decorative tacks in the wall and strung up a piece of embroidery floss. During the year the kids use clothespins to clip up their best artwork and it's our own private gallery. At Christmas time we clip up our cards---except this year the kids wondered if we could put the stockings up--and we did. So I think I'm going to try YOUR idea number one! Thanks Lain!
