Okay, so I lied! Another Monday, another mini-album. But don't get used to it, okay?
This one was done with an adorable blackboard album from Cosmo Cricket. It's called Ruby's Pages:
Most of the patterned paper, cardstock shapes, embellishments, etc. are included in the Honey Pie Crafting Kit:
In addition to the Crafting Kit, I used the Honey Pie cardstock stickers:
...and the Honey Pie rub-ons:
Other products:
The goal with this one was to group together some cute pics of my girls. I wanted a "Sisters" album to celebrate their relationship. So here we go...
Step One. Grab photos. For this book I used around a dozen photos of differing sizes.
Step Two. Trim patterned paper to size (for this album, 6x3"). NOTE: The patterned paper is double-sided with a pattern on one side and a complementary solid on the other. For the larger blocks, I used the solid side. Adhere to pages and trim edges carefully using craft knife. Trim additional patterned paper strips to size (6x3/4"). Adhere below larger patterned paper block.
Step Three. Adhere photos.
Step Four. Add cardstock stickers, cardstock shapes, and rub-ons.
Step Five. Add journaling using white pen (I used the Sakura Gel Souffle).
Step Six. Decide to doodle on photos with white pen. Immediately regret decision but proceed anyway.
Step Seven. Add Stickles for texture and shine.
What relationship do you want to highlight? Do it now!

Love the album! Perhaps I will do one of those for my sister and I, she went to Heaven eight years ago and what a great way to celebrate her!

So very, very cute. Thanks for sharing. I recognize this little mini from the new SS special issue.
I finally got the Mini Albums special issue (found it at the grocery store of all places since my Michael's -- I'm naming it -- didn't have it). Your contribution is very cool!
Thanks for the inspiration. I think I need to do a mini brother-sister album since I just have one of each (and I'm stopping there)!

Adorable, I just did the same thing because I had all these adorable photos of my kids together and making a mini was a great way to highlight those special "together" moments. Its a good way to break out of the Chronological mind-set plus use up a bunch of photos I already had printed.

PS I like the look of the white doodling on the photos. Which pen was it?

Very cute album!! I will need to do one of my son and daughter except there will be a "flip" side of when they don't get along but all in all love each other.
