Hana 'o ki lau ni pe tunalaha!**
Here I am in gorgeous Maui, enjoying the sun, the surf, and the surfers! As far as family vacations go, this is a pretty idyllic one. Only problem -- I am unable to send e-mail from here for some strange reason, so if you've e-mailed me, please know that I am not so full of mai-tais that I'm unable to e-mail straight! Instead, it's purely a technology thing.
So far, we've swum, played in the waves, built sandcastles, and eaten a lot (dinner tonight was at Tommy Bahama's -- complete with Butterscotch Pudding for dessert -- yum!!). We saw "Superman" the other night, which I really enjoyed. And today, I did something awesome... I went parasailing! I've never done it before, and it was just amazing. Ben and I went up together, to 400 feet, and we had the most incredible view of Lahaina harbor. Unbelievable. The best part? Just the other day I started a list of 40 things I want to do before I turn 40, and parasailing was one of them! At this rate, I'll complete the other 39 in time for Christmas. ;)
What else can I tell you? I miss:
-Starbucks green tea (there is only one SBX within driving distance, and they don't have green iced tea!)
-and that's about it.
