Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho... it's into the stash I go! I started Maggie Righetti's "Stupid Baby Sweater" a few days ago with yarn from my stash (how great is that??). I'm partway through the sleeves, as you can see. Showing off a work in progress, particularly one as in transit as this, makes me feel like I'm heading out of the house with curlers in my hair! (And don't those cute stitch markers look kinda like curlers that Ethel and Lucy might use???).
So far, so good. I've never knit anything from the top-down before, and it takes some getting used to. A different perspective. I forgot to do a set of paired increases at the beginning of each sleeve, but I'm hoping it won't make too much of a difference. We'll see! I tell ya, I hate to rip back more than a row or two. If it's more than that, I am just as inclined to see how it turns out with the knowledge it may not work, and then I'll have to frog the whole project and chalk it up to a steep learning curve. Ah, well. Such is the life of a manic knitting mama.
What's on your needles???
